History :

Andy Nagy and Andy Yurkahin started his own railroad in 1949 when he bought an old passenger car from Burlington Northern and moved it to 4th Ave. S. Word got out that good food, reasonable prices and the historical atmosphere were not be the missed, and in 1962 he expanded to 8 railroad cars.

The Presidential Car has been a part of Andy’s railroad for more than 40 years. It was used by President Franklin D.  Roosevelt, as picture down.

Described by Burlington Northern simply as an “executive car”, Andy discovered the historical value of the car after he’d purchased it. Inspection revealed a steel plate in one of the staterooms reading “The President of the United States”, Franklin D. Roosevelt, slept here – 1936.” A second plate with Mrs. Roosevelt’s name on it was across the passage.

Today, this car and others of Orient Express Railroad are available for banquets and private dining.
